Terms of Service
Updated 6 October 2026
These terms cover the Rackline shop account: the website and web app, and the paid plans. Rackline is operated by 1984777 Ontario Inc. · Ontario, Canada
Who we are
Rackline is operated by 1984777 Ontario Inc. ("Rackline", "we", "us"), Ontario, Canada.
Contact: sales@racklineapp.com · 1-866-414-8119.
The service
Rackline is seasonal tire-storage software for businesses (tire shops, dealers, and dealership service departments). It is a web app at www.racklineapp.com that works in any computer or phone browser.
Rackline is software only. We do not store tires and we are not a drop-off location. The service is for business use. The person who creates a shop account must be acting for that business.
Accounts
The person who creates the shop account is the account owner. Only the account owner who signed up can cancel or change the plan. That person is responsible for the Admins and Techs they add.
Keep usernames and passwords confidential. Passwords are stored hashed.
Techs can join a shop with the shop’s join code. A Tech does not use a paid office seat.
Try demo is a sample shop that lasts for one browser session. It is never saved into a real shop.
Plans and prices
Free is $0: 10 active sets, phone only (intake, photos, lookup, swap, and CSV export).
Plus is $24.99 CAD per month plus tax: 250 active sets, 5 office seats, the web manager, and label printing. The printer is sold separately.
Premium is $49.99 CAD per month plus tax: 2,000 active sets, 12 office seats, and the same features as Plus.
Released sets do not count toward active sets. Prices are in Canadian dollars. Ontario HST (13%) is added on CAD billing, so Plus is $28.24 and Premium is $56.49 per month including HST. A US card is charged in CAD, and the card issuer converts the amount.
Printers, labels, and other hardware are not part of any plan.
We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email to the billing owner. A change takes effect on the next billing date after that notice.
Billing
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions processed by Square. The first month is charged when you subscribe. You are then billed monthly.
A paid plan unlocks only after Square confirms the payment.
After each confirmed payment we email an invoice from sales@racklineapp.com. Square’s own receipt is separate from that invoice.
Changing or cancelling a plan
Only the account owner who signed up can cancel, downgrade, or change the plan. Techs and other Admins cannot. The owner does this from Shop → billing and must re-enter their password.
Cancel anytime, takes effect at the end of your billing month. Upgrades and downgrades, including a downgrade to Free, take effect on the next billing date. The current plan stays until then. There is no mid-cycle proration and no refund for the rest of the current month.
There is no cancellation fee and no exit fee.
When a downgrade to Free is scheduled, it takes effect at the end of that paid period. You are not billed for a further month after that date. Rackline honours that date. If you undo the downgrade before that date, the scheduled change is undone too. Stopping the payment with the billing provider may be done by hand; the end-of-month date still stands.
A scheduled change can be cancelled before it takes effect. Going from Free to a paid plan unlocks when Square confirms the payment.
Fees already charged are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund or where we billed you in error.
Unpaid accounts
If a paid plan’s payment is not confirmed, the shop is locked, not deleted. Shop data is kept for 1 year from the lock date. Paying again clears the lock. After that year the locked shop’s data is deleted.
Your data
Your shop’s data (customers, tire sets, photos, and the map) belongs to your shop. Each shop can see only its own data.
You can export data to CSV on every plan.
Backups are 14 nightly copies and 12 monthly copies. Nightly copies are removed after 14 days. Monthly copies are kept for 12 months, then removed.
Deleting a login (Shop → Delete my account) removes that login’s username, profile, and password hash. Shop data stays with the shop while other people still have access. The public page /delete-account explains that path in English and French.
Tire photos may be read by an AI service to suggest tire details (brand, model, size, and the DOT date code). The shop reviews those suggestions and can edit them. The AI does not write tread depth.
The Privacy page explains this in more detail. We do not sell personal data.
Customer emails
Shops are responsible for having consent to email their own customers (Canada’s anti-spam law). Rackline changeover emails include an unsubscribe link and our mailing address.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service. That includes unlawful use, trying to reach another shop’s data, reverse engineering, overloading the service, or reselling it without permission.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Rackline available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or improve features. Before we remove a paid feature a shop relies on, we will email the billing owner at least 30 days ahead.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. Rackline does not physically handle or insure tires.
Where the law allows a limit, our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost tires, lost profits, or lost data beyond the backups described above. This limit does not apply where Ontario law does not allow it.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by downgrading to Free or by deleting your login. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or an account that stays unpaid after the lock described above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario hear disputes.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date and email billing owners about material changes.
