Tire storage labels

Tire storage labels for the bay and for pickup

What is printed

Tire storage labels are the stickers that connect a physical set to the record. Rackline prints them on a Brother QL-810W with DK-1202 die-cut stock only. The stock is 2.4 inches by 3.9 inches, which is 62 × 100 mm. Brother Genuine DK-1202 or a compatible DK-1202 of that same size both work. The label shows the bay number so someone can walk to the container, and a QR code so pickup can open the set on the phone.

The label belongs to the set. If the set is mismatched, the sticker is still one label for that set, because each tire was recorded on the set rather than as a different set. The bay number on the sticker is the bay on the map. Scanning the QR code is one way to start swap or pickup. Lookup by customer still works if the sticker is missing.

The printer, the Wi-Fi, and the stock

The printer is sold separately. No plan ships a printer or a roll of labels. Plus and Premium include label printing in the app. Free does not. The QL-810W prints from a phone or a desktop as long as the printer is on the same Wi-Fi as the device doing the print. QL-810WC is the Canada fallback if the QL-810W listing is unavailable. The job uses 62 × 100 mm media.

On the iPhone, label printing goes through the office print bridge: the office computer on the same Wi-Fi as the printer. A test print sends one DK-1202 label that says TEST, so the shop can confirm the address before a real set is labeled. On the floor it runs in any phone browser.

Labels sit on top of the map and the receipt

Printing does not choose the bay. The map does. Tires-per-bay capacity defaults to 4 and can be set up to 24, and intake will not place a set that would exceed it. After the set has a bay, the label repeats that bay number. The storage receipt is separate: Yes or No at intake, plus an optional customer email. You can print a label and still skip the email. Plus is $24.99 CAD per month and Premium is $49.99 CAD per month, before tax. Toll-free support is 1-866-414-8119.

What the shop records

A tech checks a set in on a phone, in the browser. The same shop login opens the web office, and the phone and the web share the shop’s cloud data. Intake records the customer, the vehicle, the tire details, and the tread depth the tech enters. Condition photos stay with the set as a record of what came in. The shop can import an existing list from CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets, and every plan can export CSV.

When the tires on one vehicle do not match, turn Mismatched set on. Off keeps one make, model, size, DOT, and tread for the whole set. On records each tire on this set — you do not enter them as different sets. Each tire can have its own make, model, size, DOT date code, and tread depth, while the vehicle still has one set, one bay, one label, and one pickup.

The bay map is the shop’s layout of shipping containers and wall racks, with numbered bays. Tires-per-bay capacity is stored on that map. The default is 4 tires, and the shop can set the capacity from 1 up to 24. The bay line shows how many tires are in the bay against that capacity, including a full bay and an older stack that sits over the cap. Intake will not add a set that would push the bay past its tire count.

Plus and Premium include label printing in the app. Labels print on a Brother QL-810W using DK-1202 stock, 2.4 inches by 3.9 inches (62 × 100 mm). Brother Genuine DK-1202 or compatible DK-1202 both work. The printer and the labels are sold separately. No plan includes a physical printer. The QL-810W can print from a phone or a desktop when the printer is on the same Wi-Fi as the device doing the print. The label carries the bay number for the floor and a QR code for pickup.

At intake the shop answers Yes or No to Send storage receipt and can type a customer email. Yes, with a valid email, emails a storage receipt when the set is saved. If the address is missing, the set can still be saved. No skips the receipt. Save works if you skip the email. Later, office staff can add or fix the customer email on the set and send the storage receipt from the web.

Public prices match the pricing page and are in Canadian dollars before tax. Plus is $24.99 CAD per month: 250 active sets, 5 office seats, the web manager, and label printing. Premium is $49.99 CAD per month: 2,000 active sets, 12 office seats, and the same web manager and label printing. Free is 10 active sets, phone only, with no web manager and no label printing. Released sets do not count toward the active-set cap. Tech upload and photos do not use a paid seat. Swap and pickup can start from a label scan or a lookup, and the set keeps a who-changed-what history. Customer emails, including changeover emails, are on every plan. Questions

Which tire storage labels does Rackline print?

DK-1202 die-cut labels, 2.4 inches by 3.9 inches (62 × 100 mm), on a Brother QL-810W. Genuine or compatible DK-1202 of that size both work. The label has the bay number and a QR code.

Which plans include label printing?

Plus and Premium. Plus is $24.99 CAD per month and Premium is $49.99 CAD per month, before tax. Free is phone only and does not include label printing. The printer and the labels are sold separately.

Does the phone have to be on the printer’s Wi-Fi?

Yes. The QL-810W prints from a phone or a desktop when that device is on the same Wi-Fi as the printer. The iPhone sends the job through the office print bridge on that network.

Does a mismatched set get a label per tire?

No. Each tire is recorded on the same set, and the set gets the bay label. You do not enter the tires as different sets.

Can we print a label without emailing a receipt?

Yes. Storage receipt is its own Yes or No. Save works if you skip the customer email. Toll-free support is 1-866-414-8119.
