Tire storage software

Tire storage software for shops that store seasonal sets

Software for the sets you keep

Tire storage software is the shop record for customer seasonal sets: who owns them, which vehicle they came off, what each tire is, and which bay they sit in. Rackline is that record for tire shops, tire dealers, and dealership service departments that take winter and summer sets. It does not replace a point of sale or a dealer management system. It covers the storage work those systems usually leave on a clipboard.

The floor uses Rackline in a phone browser. The office uses the web. Both use one login. A set checked in on the phone is the same set the office sees on the map. Photos, the bay, the label, and the pickup history stay on that set instead of in a separate notebook.

From the driveway to the bay

A typical check-in starts with the customer and the vehicle, then the tires. If every tire matches, one make, model, size, DOT, and tread is enough. If the set is mismatched, each tire is written on that same set. The tech chooses a bay on the map that still has room for the tire count, prints the label on Plus or Premium, and chooses whether to email a storage receipt.

At changeover the shop finds the set by name, by bay, or by scanning the QR code, swaps or releases it, and the history shows who made the change. When the season turns, the shop can send changeover emails to customers who have an address on file. Those emails include an unsubscribe link and the mailing address. The shop is responsible for having consent to email its own customers.

Plans on the pricing page

Start on Free if you want 10 active sets on the phone before you move the office onto the web. Plus at $24.99 CAD per month adds the web manager, 250 active sets, 5 office seats, and label printing. Premium at $49.99 CAD per month raises that to 2,000 active sets and 12 office seats. Prices are before tax. The printer is still purchased separately. Sign up, confirm the email, sign in, and then choose a plan.

What the shop records

A tech checks a set in on a phone, in the browser. The same shop login opens the web office, and the phone and the web share the shop’s cloud data. Intake records the customer, the vehicle, the tire details, and the tread depth the tech enters. Condition photos stay with the set as a record of what came in. The shop can import an existing list from CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets, and every plan can export CSV.

When the tires on one vehicle do not match, turn Mismatched set on. Off keeps one make, model, size, DOT, and tread for the whole set. On records each tire on this set — you do not enter them as different sets. Each tire can have its own make, model, size, DOT date code, and tread depth, while the vehicle still has one set, one bay, one label, and one pickup.

The bay map is the shop’s layout of shipping containers and wall racks, with numbered bays. Tires-per-bay capacity is stored on that map. The default is 4 tires, and the shop can set the capacity from 1 up to 24. The bay line shows how many tires are in the bay against that capacity, including a full bay and an older stack that sits over the cap. Intake will not add a set that would push the bay past its tire count.

Plus and Premium include label printing in the app. Labels print on a Brother QL-810W using DK-1202 stock, 2.4 inches by 3.9 inches (62 × 100 mm). Brother Genuine DK-1202 or compatible DK-1202 both work. The printer and the labels are sold separately. No plan includes a physical printer. The QL-810W can print from a phone or a desktop when the printer is on the same Wi-Fi as the device doing the print. The label carries the bay number for the floor and a QR code for pickup.

At intake the shop answers Yes or No to Send storage receipt and can type a customer email. Yes, with a valid email, emails a storage receipt when the set is saved. If the address is missing, the set can still be saved. No skips the receipt. Save works if you skip the email. Later, office staff can add or fix the customer email on the set and send the storage receipt from the web.

Public prices match the pricing page and are in Canadian dollars before tax. Plus is $24.99 CAD per month: 250 active sets, 5 office seats, the web manager, and label printing. Premium is $49.99 CAD per month: 2,000 active sets, 12 office seats, and the same web manager and label printing. Free is 10 active sets, phone only, with no web manager and no label printing. Released sets do not count toward the active-set cap. Tech upload and photos do not use a paid seat. Swap and pickup can start from a label scan or a lookup, and the set keeps a who-changed-what history. Customer emails, including changeover emails, are on every plan. The toll-free number is 1-866-414-8119. Rackline is operated by 1984777 Ontario Inc., Ontario, Canada.

Questions

What does this tire storage software cover?

Intake, condition photos, a bay map, per-tire details on a mismatched set, labels, a storage receipt, swap and pickup, and who changed the set. It does not replace a point of sale or a dealer management system.

How are mismatched tires stored?

Turn Mismatched set on and record each tire on that same set — make, model, size, DOT, and tread. You do not enter them as different sets. The set still has one bay and one pickup.

How many tires fit in a bay?

Tires-per-bay capacity is stored on the shop map. The default is 4. The shop can set it from 1 up to 24. Intake will not add a set that would push the bay past that count.

Which plan prints labels and what does it cost?

Plus is $24.99 CAD per month and Premium is $49.99 CAD per month, before tax, as on the pricing page. Both include Brother QL-810W label printing on DK-1202. The printer is sold separately. Free is phone only and does not print labels.

Does it work on any phone?

Yes. Rackline is a web app: it works in the browser on any phone, and you can add it to your home screen. The office uses the web with the same login. Toll-free support is 1-866-414-8119.
